The Modern Tissue Culture Process
Every CropGen Biotech plant is genetically identical to a healthy, disease-free mother plant — grown in a sterile lab, not a field. Here's how:
Explant Selection & Sterilization
A small tissue sample is taken from a healthy, high-performing mother plant and thoroughly sterilized to remove all contaminants.
Culture Initiation
The sterilized tissue is placed on a nutrient-rich gel medium in a sterile vessel, where it begins to grow as an independent culture.
Multiplication
The culture is repeatedly divided onto fresh medium, multiplying a single explant into thousands of genetically identical plantlets.
Rooting
Each shoot is transferred to a root-inducing medium, developing into a complete, independent young plant with its own root system.
Hardening & Acclimatization
Rooted plantlets move to our Kalawade, Satara hardening center, gradually adapting to outdoor humidity, light, and temperature.
Our Complete Production Process
From lab to field, every plant passes through eight carefully managed stages to ensure fast, healthy growth.
Primary Hardening
Rooted plantlets move from sterile lab vessels into mist/greenhouse chambers, where humidity is gradually reduced to begin outdoor adaptation.
Secondary Hardening
Plants shift to open shade-net structures for further acclimatization to natural sunlight, temperature, and outdoor humidity.
Quality Inspection
Every batch is inspected for root strength, leaf health, uniform growth, and freedom from disease before approval.
Packing Process
Approved plants are carefully packed in ventilated trays with adequate moisture retention to prevent transit stress.
Dispatch
Packed plants are dispatched through our logistics network to reach farms across India in optimal condition.
Plantation Guidelines
Farmers receive detailed planting guidance covering pit size, spacing, soil preparation, and initial care.
Crop Management
Ongoing support with irrigation, nutrition, and pest/weed management recommendations through the growth cycle.
Harvesting Stage
Guidance on the right harvest timing and post-harvest handling to maximize yield and quality.
Trusted by Growers Across Maharashtra
"We planted 2,000 G9 banana saplings from CropGen last season. Survival rate was almost perfect and the bunches came in bigger and more uniform than what we got locally."
"Their bamboo saplings grew noticeably faster than the ones we tried before. The team also gave us solid guidance on spacing and irrigation after delivery."
"Ordering was simple, WhatsApp support was quick to respond, and the teak plants arrived healthy and well packed even after a two-day transit."
Frequently Asked Questions
Tissue culture plants are grown in a sterile lab from healthy plant cells, so every plant is disease-free, genetically uniform, and grows faster and more consistently than conventionally propagated saplings.
Minimum order quantities vary by plant type — for example 450 plants for banana varieties, 100 for bamboo, 50 for teak, and 50 for anthurium. Contact us on WhatsApp if you need a custom quantity.
